I am from the Mountains of North Carolina, my Appalachian roots go back for many generations. I know that the traditions and stories that were passed onto me, groomed me to be an effective Healer. I hesitate to use the word Healer, as it may infer that I am special or that I have a unique super power. I believe all people have the ability to heal themselves and others, given the tools and desire to do so. I have had THAT desire to help others for as long as I can remember. My mother is also a ‘Healer’ who practiced in a more traditional sense of the word as an operating room nurse at our community hospital. I was exposed to lots of medical talk growing up and folks would often ask my mother for help with this or that ailment before calling a doctor. Not to mention historically mountain people are used to taking charge of healing themselves, their family and their animals/livestock. I believe this goes back to a time in the mountains when access to a medical doctor or facility was not an option. Out of necessity people developed an independent solution to their ailment at hand. In our culture it was common to hear conversations peppered with ‘use this tincture, take this vitamin, apply this salve, say this prayer.’ I believe that this is one of the reasons why Energy Healing resonated with me so deeply. 

I also dealt with chronic pain because I was born with Hip Displasia in my right hip. I had many surgeries to help the joint, but the pain never went away until ultimately, I had a hip replacement in my late 30’s. To help cope with the pain I sought alternative solutions to pharmaceutical drugs. In highschool I was introduced to yoga & Rolfing. My experience with these two practices opened my eyes to seeing the body and how to heal it, through a different lens. Later in life the hip pain increased. After having my daughter even more so. As the joint was deteriorating with each passing year. I found a chiropractor/acupuncturist/energy healer who had a practice in Chapel Hill. I began seeing her for adjustments and she soon recognized the need for me to see her mother, the resident Energy Medicine Practitioner. From the first session, I was hooked, this was what I had been searching for all my life. I could see endless possibilities after one session. Energy Healing appeared to encompass all the aspects I was eager to delve deeper into: the spiritual, emotional, psychological, physical, and generational dimensions. Thank God for this connection to these wonderful souls, as they helped me through many difficult years leading up to my hip replacement. Energy Healing helped me navigate those waters without dependency on drugs. I knew that I had to share what I had learned with as many people as possible, I felt as though I had a responsibility to spread the word.

I set on my journey to become an Energy Healer! In 2010 started with the foundation of Reiki I, a simple yet effective Japanese energy healing technique, by 2013 I became a level III Reiki Master. 

In 2013, I embarked on my journey of education in Eden Energy Medicine, developed by Donna Eden, a globally renowned healer and energy healing educator. Over the subsequent 2-3 years, I traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, to complete training levels I, II, and III of the Eden Method. This method illuminated the concept of the energy body, revealing that it can be examined much like a blueprint. It draws heavily from Donna Eden's insights and experiences, while also incorporating the wisdom documented in Traditional Chinese Medicine over 1500 years ago. This profound knowledge and understanding are invaluable in my role as an Energy Healer.
I continued to enhance my skill set by obtaining certification in The Emotion Code in 2019 and The Body Code in 2020, both developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson. This approach expanded upon and integrated the knowledge I had gained about the energy body, incorporating it into a software system. This system enables me to pinpoint the root causes of my clients' issues, and it can be utilized regardless of our respective locations. The ability to assist people through video conferencing was a timely blessing, especially with the onset of Covid. This underscores why remote energy healing techniques are gaining popularity.

Through my own suffering, I found a pathway to understanding more about why people struggle in life. So often our subconscious mind just needs to be reprogrammed like outdated software. We hold onto self-limiting beliefs, emotions and other outside influences that literally affect the physiology and functionality of body, mind and spirit.
